NAWUATI!!! Pronounced Na-vow-tai, it is a Native American greeting meaning "Walk in Peace and Harmony."
As you may have guessed I am Native American, Cherokee to be specific. I may not be a pure blooded native, but that doesn't stop me in taking pride in the amount of native I have in my blood.
My name is Kevin and since February 2010 I've been keeping a list of all the beers I have had in my life. When I first started making the list, it was a painstaking process to remember all the beers that I have had since I started drinking. The list started with 81. Now in 2012 I'm closing in on my goal of 300. Seeing how many beers there are in the world, my list will not end at 300, the next plateau will be 500. Some people asked, "Why not make it 400?" I am an unorthodox individual who does not like to do things as expected. Those who know me can attest to that ten-fold.
Not only do I love drinking new beers as often as I can, I love reviewing them and letting other know what I think about their smell, taste, and color. My friends consider me a Beer Connoisseur and I would have to agree with them. My palette has come a long way since I started drinking beer and I'd like to think that I'm aware of the subtle differences of ingredients that different beer companies use.
I will do my best to keep this forum up-to-date with the list and the reviews for each new beer I try. I will hopefully post more videos of beer reviews and maybe take suggestions from people who follow me!!!
My little icon doesn’t do any justice to who I am or what I look like. I thought i’d share some of my pictures with my followers to let them know who the NJ Beer Connoisseur is!!
8 weeks ago I bought my final piece of zombie survival weaponry.
I have a 7in switch blade with a LED flashlight attached to it.
I have a 23in machete with serrated edge on the opposite side of the blade.
And either today or tomorrow my final piece will be arriving..my 30in SWORD!!!
Add to that my arsenal of 15 total rifles/shotgun with ammo to support a small army..and you can say that I’m prepared and waiting!!!

Below is the list of beers that I have had. The list is split into two alpha-order sections; Multiple beers I’ve had from the same company/brewery and individual beers I have had. There are stars next to most. I have a rating scale of 1-5 stars. 1= Not a Good Beer, 2=An OK Beer, but wouldn’t have it again, 3=An Average Beer, 4= A Pretty Good Beer, 5= Damn That’s a Great Beer! The beers that do not have a rating unfortunately were added before I started the 1-5 star rating scale. :-)

Good question. My answer..
I’m still refining my palette. Some beers that I have tried have ingredients that are difficult to notice. Looking up the beer and seeing the ingredients can help identify those tough to notice ingredients. It really comes down to drinking more and more beer with exotic tastes that way you can learn all the different types of flavors a beer can have. I usually test myself and see what ingredients i can identify and then look up the beer to see what it has.
Just like eating different foods increases the amount of tastes you encounter..drinking different beers allows you to notice the similarities in beer but also see the unique ingredients in that specific beer.
Sixpoint Resin #367
Shmaltz Coney Island Imperial American Bock #368
Ruckus Hoptimus Prime #369
Shipyard Smashing Blueberry
#366
Alcohol: 9.0%
Look: Deep brown look. Holding it up to a light doesn’t really allow me to see through it.
Aroma: Hoppy scent along with a sweet scent of blueberry, but the blueberry scent is not strong. Like the Smashing pumpkin, the alcohol is a noticeable smell as well.
Mouthfeel: Mild carbonation, it’s not a light feeling beer, but it’s not thick like a stout.
Taste: Strong taste of blueberry, way more than the aroma gives off. It is really quite delicious, considering the high alcohol content, this beer is really good! Smooth going down as well.
